Jesse is a neurodivergent social worker and mental health therapist with many years of experience working with his hands. He creates artistic wood expressions that complement his work in the mental health field. By crafting tangible items of beauty from discarded lumber, he supports his own mental health. Jesse enjoys creating custom wood pieces for others who share a love for trees and the wood they leave behind.
All of Jesse's pieces are hand-turned on his 1950's antique wood lathe from scratch. While he is still mastering the craft of wood turning, he ensures that all of his mental health craftsmanship is of high quality and preserves the natural beauty of the wood. Most of his large bowls are created from local fallen trees and branches, and many pieces are turned from wood that would otherwise be used as firewood.
